Above, Bradley and Jacob Easter of Team Toxic Teddys in a recent Facebook post.
In yesterday's article by Cheryl Ellis about the WCPL's NY event in Paintball.Media, it was stated that paintballers are a family, even if we do like to get together to shoot each other in the face. Hey - every family is unique.
Proving that point today is a post on Facebook by Jacob Easter, Captain of the Toxic Teddys team (who have been coming on strong all year). Jacob reveals this his nephew, Bradley, was in an accident and suffered some serious injuries, requiring two rods in his legs and including a broken pelvis (sheesh!).
Jacob also informs us that Bradley, who is 8 years old, has his heart set on playing paintball when he gets old enough and has been collecting some gear towards that goal.
Jacob asked if the paintball community could step up and help outfit Bradley for his debut on the field and the support is already rolling in. Makes me proud of you all, even those of you who have shot me in the face. (Not many, truth to tell, but enough.)
Here's a link to the post on Facebook. He's already being offered events to attend, markers, loaders, tanks and masks. Show Bradley some support!
