James "Howdy" Mcguffog, a long time player, a long time Master Blaster and a long time friend, appears above in an undated photo rocking a Carter Termite pump gun with VL-200 loader in his official, original and genuine Tiger Strip cammo, most likely taken at Paintball Sports New York location.
Howdy posted the following to his Facebook account yesterday and the response strongly suggests that his sentiments are shared by many other paintballers, far and wide:
"A week from today players from around the country and the globe will descend on PSNY to compete in WCPL New York Woodsball Classic . They will set up staging areas for their teams fill out waivers fill tanks gather paint and walk the fields. They will prepare themselves men and women to do battle on one of if not the most historic field in the sport. They will meet new players and make new lifelong friends because that’s what it’s all about, the fun and the comradeship will permeate the air. I am looking forward to seeing you all and can’t wait to get this show on the road and best of luck to all who attend. Let’s make this the most fun experience you ever had in paintball because it’s all about you the players."
Jim's words strongly echo the goals and the ethos that the WCPL has established for itself and which it has dedicated itself to bringing to each and every one of its events: Paintball competition is about friendship, respect, honor, fun and reuniting with our paintball family. Doesn't get any better than that!
