Bea Paxson, on the Destiny team's Facebook page notes the passing of Makala Denise Brooks, "whose life was taken too soon by her own hand while battling depression". Makala was 31 and played for the WNXL Team Destiny.
Our condolences to the Brooks family, her teammates and friends. (Full post here.)

Fred Schultz asked the paintball community to step up and send Cameron Montoya a birthday card for his 8th birthday this Saturday (May 20th) on his podcast last night. Cameron was set to cruise the Bahamas, but is instead spending that time in Boston Children's Hospital after being diagnosed with Leukemia.
