Gary Baum (PaintballPhotography.com) had is drone up and out at the WCPL's recent Southern California Classic and got some incredible footage of
Ambush Paintball's facilities, the mounds field and breakout action. He's posted it to
Youtube, where you can find this and other videos.
Glen Forester, owner of Ambush, also sent along the video, as did Promoter
Fred Schultz, a recent podcast episode of which featured discussion of the upcoming
Panhandle Paintball Classic that will take place this coming April 1st and 2nd at Panhandle Paintball in Holt, Florida. (Register at

It's an awesome video (expect any less from Gary?) and it occurs to me as I watch some of the footage that a team with a licensed drone pilot on tap could use a drone to examine shooting angles from a player's eye point of view. Maybe something to thing about as we move deeper into paintball's digital future.
