Here is how the games at the WCPL's New York Classic were arranged:

A preliminary draw was conducted live by the event's promoter, Kevin Donaldson, on Fred Schultz's Fred and Friends podcast.
Kevin explained that his goal was to make sure that the teams from Europe did not play each other during preliminaries and that the amateur teams did not play an unbalanced number of professional teams.  This was accomplished by conducting three separate draws:  one for the pro teams (Ironmen, All Americans), one for the European teams (UK Predators, 95 AllStars) and one for the remaining ten teams (which method was largely endorsed and praised by those attending).

This resulted in the following preliminary round divisions:
